combine marinade ingredients. Add one and a half tablespoon of the marinade to the dry mix and whisk to combine. To the remaining marinade, add the chicken cubes and let sit for a minimum of 15 minutes, up to overnight in the fridge. When finishing marinating, place chicken pieces in the dry mix and coat each well.
heat 2 inches of oil in a wok or fry pan and fry chicken until golden and crispy. Drain and set aside.
hot honey sauce
in a wok or fry pan, heat a tablespoon of oil and add the chopped garlic. Saute for one minute and add the rest of the sauce ingredients. Add in the chicken and toss to coat. Enjoy hot and finish with a sprinkle of crushed chilli flakes, if desired.
