  • 1 TBSP diced red onion
  • 1/4 small red chili pepper(optional)
  • 1 tsp lime(or lemon) juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

Teri Beef

  • Prepare beef: Cut beef into pieces that are 1/8-1/4 inch thick and 1 inch wide.
  • In a container or zip top bag, combine soy sauce, sugar, pineapple juice, oil, ginger, scallion , and garlic. Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes or an hour.
If using wooden skewers soak them in water to prevent burning.
  • Thread beef onto skewers, keeping the meat in the centre/top half of each stick.
  • Fire up the grill or heat a grill pan over medium heat. Grease the grates to prevent sticking, and cook about 2-3 minutes per side, until the edges are crispy and the meat is cooked through.
  • Arrange on a large platter. Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions.

Pineapple Salsa

  • In a bowl, mix together pineapple, cilantro, red onion, chili pepper, lime juice, honey, and salt. Serve or keep in the fridge up till overnight in an airtight container.
